Right boat, wrong hull number..
Went to register and obtain a title for the boat. All boats have a Hull Number that is engraved into the hull, very similar to a VIN on an automobile.
I went ahead and filled out the paperwork
Bill of Sale: Hull Number 182
Title from NJ: Hull Number 182
Registration from Maine: Hull Number 182
Joe's belief for the past decade: Hull Number 182
Then I went and looked at the hull number engraved on the boat. Hull Number 183
So I had to convince the state of MA that I bought boat hull # 183...
